The Ministers held their Eighth Meeting in the Sheraton Park Hotel, Washington, D.C. on September 28, 1974. Mr. Smail Mahroug, Minister of Finance of Algeria, was in the chair, with Mr. N. M. Perera, Finance Minister of Sri Lanka and Mr. Amilear Vargas Gavilano, Minister of Finance of Peru, as Vice-Chairmen. The meeting was attended by Mr. H. J. Witteveen, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Mr. Gamani Corea, Secretary- General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, and Mr. R. McNamara, President of the World Bank.
