Ministers of the Intergovernmental Group of Twenty-Four on International Monetary Affairs held their sixty-second meeting in Washington, D.C., on September 25, 1999. Her Excellency Mrs. Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga, President and Finance Minister for Sri Lanka was in the chair, with Mr. Germán Suárez of Peru as First Vice-Chairman, and Mr. J.O. Sanusi, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria as Second Vice-Chairman.
