Ministers of the Intergovernmental Group of Twenty-Four on International Monetary Affairs and Development held their eighty-second meeting in Istanbul, Turkey, on October 3, 2009. Mr. Adib Mayaleh, Governor of the Central Bank of Syria, was in the Chair, with Mr. Guido Mantega, Minister of Finance of Brazil as First Vice-Chairman, and Mr. Pravin Gordhan, Minister of Finance of South Africa as Second Vice-Chairman.
