Ministers of the Intergovernmental Group of Twenty-Four on International Monetary Affairs held their sixty-first meeting in Washington, D.C., on April 26, 1999. Mr. G.L. Peiris, Minister for Justice and Constitutional and Ethnic Affairs and Deputy Minister of Finance of Sri Lanka was in the chair, with Mr. Germán Suárez of Peru as First Vice-Chairman, and Mr. Mallam Ismaila Usman of Nigeria as Second Vice-Chairman.
